Family Day Wishes

Today is Family Day here in British Columbia, and wherever your family calls home, I hope that today finds you taking time to connect.

For some families, Family Day offers an opportunity to make memories - take the day to go to the pool or hit the ski slopes one last time before the seasons change or just stay in and play board games.

Meanwhile for other families, a day at home with no work or school can feel like a grind. The behaviour management and difficulty regulating and supporting needs and, and, and...

My hope is that your family finds connection, but if you are in the camp where today feels like a grind, know that you're not alone.

Trauma can really alter how we do life together. For kids, trauma has such significant impacts on their ability to calm, regulate, feel safe, make choices and engage in connection. If you are wrestling with these challenges, we've got you.

When I crafted the Trauma Attuned Parent program, I made it to fit into crazy busy schedules to offer tangible and practical skills to parents who want to be therapeutic and active in intervening and offering healing to their child/children's trauma.

If you don't know a lot about the Trauma Attuned Parent Program, you can learn more here. This program has been offered for over six years and has helped countless families develop the tools to not just be a support to their child's trauma journey, but to become an active agent for change and healing.

I hope you will take the leap and choose to invest in feeling more capable and confident in your capacity to be a change-maker for your child and your family. You are the most powerful person in the life of your child.
